Tämä kätkö on neljäs Tornien-taisto sarjaani. Näiden kätköjen sarja
esittelee osan Porilaisista lintutorneista sekä niiden
ympäristöstä.
Tornien taisto on BirdLife Suomen järjestämä leikkimielinen
kilpailu, jossa pyritään havaitsemaan lintutornista mahdollisimman
monta lajia kahdeksassa tunnissa. Samalla tehdään lintuharrastusta
tunnetuksi ja kerätään varoja linnustonsuojeluun. Tornien taisto
järjestetään vuosittain toukokuussa.
This is the fourth cache of my "The Battle of Towers" cache series.
These caches present some of birdwatching towers in Pori and their
surroundings. "The Battle of Towers" is a birdwatching event
organised annually by BirdLife Finland in May.
Enäjärvi on yksi Suomen parhaista pienistä lintujärvistä. Pesivä
vesilinnusto on erittäin monipuolinen ja linnuston kokonaistiheys
on maamme korkeimpia. Harmaahaikarat ruokailevat ja pesivät
järvellä. Muuttolinnut lepäilevät järvellä varsinkin syksyisin,
sillä siellä ei metsästetä. Enäjärven lounaisrannan ruovikossa on
lintutorni, ja koillispuolella on havaintolava.
Enäjärven lintutornista näkee lähes koko 47 hehtaarin laajuisen
lintujärven. Huom. tällä puolella järveä ei autolle ole P-paikkaa!
Itse käydessäni tornilla jätän auton lähellä sijaitsevan
bussipysäkin sekä pyörätien välialueelle. N61°.32.810 E021°35.904
Siitä jalan pyörätietä Poriin päin kunnes vasemmalta lähtee polku
tornille.
Maantiellä on vilkas liikenne!!
Enäjärvi is one of the best small birdlakes in Finland. It has very
versatile population of the nesting waterbirds and the density of
bird population is one the highest in Finland. Grey Heron (Ardea
cinerea) is nesting and eating at the lake. Migrating birds are
resting at lake especially during the autumn. There is a
birdwatching tower in the southwestern grass of the lake and an
observation platform in the northeastern part. From the tower you
can see the whole 47-hectare lake. This side of the lake does not
have a parking area. Preferred place is between a bus stop and a
cycle path. From there you can walk by cycle path to the direction
of Pori until you see a path on the left leading to the tower.
Highway has very busy traffic!
