This place, called Vegenden ("End of the Road") by the locals, is not really the end of the road anymore. However, some generations ago, this was the closest one could come by carriage before needing to row or walk the last distance to the farms by the lake.
You can keep driving another couple of kilometres to the "real" end of the road, and use it as a starting point for the great network of trails in the Norwegian mountains, maintained by DNT.
Fishing in the lake requires a permit which can be bought by the local farms on the way the lake.
The cache is a small plastic container inside a plastic bag with a log book (including one leaf which acts as an FTF-certificate) and 3 collectible pins (Gilde, Gazprom, DNT).
