     Většina geokačerů už někdy hledala kešku pomocí navigátoru GPS. Tento přístroj však umožňuje hledat i jiné věci než kešky, třeba zajímavé hodnoty zeměpisné šířky nebo délky. Na hledání a dokumentaci bodů o celočíselné zeměpisné šířce i délce (konfluenčních bodů) pomocí navigátoru GPS se zaměřuje Degree Confluence Project. V České republice bylo zdokumentováno 10 takovýchbodů.
     Území hlavního města Prahy neobsahuje žádný konfluenční bod, ale je protínáno rovnoběžkou o severní zeměpisné šířce 50 stupňů, která má délku asi 25 759 kilometrů (délka rovníku krát cos 50°). Pomocí svého navigátoru GPS si tuto rovnoběžku můžete vyhledat například v Modřanech. A co takhle hledat zároveň 50. rovnoběžku a kešku, která se nachází přímo na ní?
     Toto je první keška, kterou jsem umístil na 50. rovnoběžku. Dostanete se k ní snadno po asfaltové cestě například od nádraží Modřany. Keška se nachází mezi touto cestou a železniční tratí. Je zajímavé, že právě v místě, kde 50. rovnoběžka protíná koleje, jsou na kolejnicích vidět svary. Nevstupujte do kolejiště, pro odlov kešky to není nutné.
     Pro rádiové fandy, kteří se věnují koníčku spočívajícímu v navazování spojení na veřejných rádiových pásmech CB nebo PMR nebo na radioamatérských pásmech, může být zajímavé i to, že tato keška se nachází na hranici lokátorů JN79EX a JO70EA.
     Keška je plochá plastová krabička. Není moc prostorná, ale pár věciček se do ní vejde. Prosím, mějte u sebe psací potřebu (tužku nebo propisku) na logování.

     Most geocachers have already searched for a cache with a GPS navigator. However, this device also allows us to search for other things than caches, for example interesting latitude or longitude values. The Degree Confluence Project concentrates on seeking and documenting points with both integer latitude and longitude (confluence points) by means of a GPS navigator. In the Czech Republic, 10 such points have been documented.
     The territory of the capital Prague does not contain any confluence points, but it contains a part of the 50-degree northern latitude line, which has a length of about 25 759 kilometres (the length of the Equator multiplied by cos 50°). By means of your GPS navigator, you can find this latitude line for example in the Modřany district. And what about searching simultaneously for the 50-degree latitude line and a cache that is located just on it?
     This is the first cache that I placed on the 50-degree latitude line. It can be easily accessed through an asphalt path, for example from the Modřany train station. The cache is located between this path and a railway track. It is interesting that weld joints can be seen on the rails just where they intersect with the 50-degree latitude line. Do not walk on the railway track, it is not necessary for hunting the cache.
     For radio fans, who are involved in the hobby consisting in making contacts on the public radio bands CB or PMR or on amateur (HAM) radio bands, it may also be interesting that this cache is located on the border of the locators JN79EX and JO70EA.
     The cache is a flat plastic box. It is not very spacious, but a few small pieces of stuff might fit in it. Please, make sure that you are equipped with a writing tool (pencil or pen) for logging.
