A Rába gyár
|
| 1896-ban 9 részvényes megalapította a
"Magyar Waggon- és Gépgyár Részvénytársaság"-ot Gyorben. 1897-ben
az elso gyártmányuk 30 db 15 tonnás, kéttengelyes tartálykocsi volt
a Galíciai-Kárpát Petroleum Rt. részére. Két éven belül elkészült
az 1000. vasúti kocsi. A vasúti kocsiüzem személy és tehervagonokat
készített az 1900-as Párizsi Világkiállításra. A londoni földalatti
megrendelt 30 szerelvényt, 66 utasszállító kocsit és forgóvázakat.
Ezek hozták az elso nemzetközi sikereket is. |

| A tehergépkocsi-üzemet "Magyar Vagon
és Gépgyár Részvénytársaság" néven 1904-ben alapították Gyorben.
1904 és 1925 között személygépkocsikat is gyártottak Rába néven a
tehergépkocsi gyártással párhuzamosan. 1950-ban a Rába megszerezte
a Krupp muvek tehergépkocsi gyártási licenszét, amit azonban csak
1927-tol használtak. 1928-tól megszerezték az Autro-Fiattól egy
másik licenszt, majd 1939-1945 között ehhez hozzájött a MAN motorok
összeszerelési licensze. A II. világháború után, 1945-ben a
jóvátételt nyögte a vállalat, majd egy évre rá államosították.
1961-ig a teherautógyártás jelentéktelen volt, csak vasúti kocsikat
gyártottak és javítottak. 1961-1969 között a kommunista "Wilhelm
Pieck Vagon és Gépgyár" néven újraindult a tehergépkocsi
gyártás. |

| 1968-ban újra megszerezték a MAN-tól a
motor és tehergépkocsi gyártási licenszt. Abban az idoben a magyar
állam sok pénzt fektetett be a tehergépkocsi gyártásra. Ekkortájt a
Rába a DAF beszállítója is lett, és a DAF vezetofülkéket szállított
a Rábának. 1970-ben az éppen "Magyar Vagon és Gépgyár"-nak hívott
céget a Rába márkával bejegyezték és elindult a teljes MAN
teherautók összeszerelése. 1994-ben együttmuködési megállapodát
kötöttek a Detroit Diesellel. A gyárat 1997-ben átszervezték és
szétdarabolták különálló futómu-, motor- és jármugyárakba. A magyar
államnak kisebbségi tulajdona maradt a cégben. 2006 óta a Trigon
észt befektetési társaság résztulajdonos lett. |

| 1944. április 13: A teheráni
konferencián elhatározottak szerinti elso tragikus bombázáskor a
vasúti kocsigyár 300 találatot kapott és hatalmas sérüléseket
szenvedett el mind a gépekben, mind az épületekben. Az emléktábla
erre a tragédiára emlékeztet. |

The company Rába
|
| 1896 9 shareholders founded the
Hungarian Railway Carriage and Machine Works Plc. in Gyor. 1897 the
first product of the Railway Carriage Factory were 30pc, 15 ton,
two axle tank cars for the Galicia-Carpathian Petroleum Plc. In 2
years the 1000th railway carriage was made in. The Railway Carriage
Factory prepared for the 1900 Paris World Exhibition with railway
passenger carriages and goods wagons. The London Underground
Railway ordered 30 multiple-unit trains, 66 passenger cars for
multiple-unit trains and bogies. This also indicates the first
international successes. |

| The truck factory „Magyar Vagon
es Gepgyar Resvenitarsasag“ was founded 1904 in Gyor (Raab).
From the year 1904 on passenger cars had been produced till 1925
und the name of Rába in parallel to the truck production. 1920 Rába
gained a truck manufacturing license from Krupp, which was used
from the year 1927 onwards only. 1928 bought another truck
production license from Austro-Fiat. And from the year 1939 till
1945 a license for the assembly of MAN engines was added. After the
WWII, in 1945, the company suffered tremendously under the
reparation and a year later the company was taken over by the
communist state. Till 1961 the truck production had no relevance
anymore for Rába and just railway carriage were manufactured and
repaired. From 1961 till 1969 the communist name „Wilhelm
Pieck Vagon es Gepgyar“ was registered and the truck
production was restarted. |

and a the assembly of complete MAN types started. 1994 a joint
venture with Detroit Diesel began. The company was restructured and
separated in axis-, engine- and vehicle production in 1997. The
Hungarian state could keep the majority of the shares. Since 2006
the Estonian investment group Trigon bought shares of Rába. |

| Es ist fast ein Drive. Der Cache ist
nicht geeignet für Kinder. Mein Vater hat mir geholfen den Cache zu
platzieren. Bitte wieder gut zurück tun, so dass alle Folgenden
auch noch Spaß haben. Achtung: Während normaler Tageszeiten ist mit
sehr vielen Muggles zu rechnen. Die beste Zeit den Cache zu heben
ist früh am Morgen, spät am Abend oder in der Nacht. Es gibt ein
kleines Tor um ins Innere der „Metuselah machine“ zu

Die Firma Rába
|
| 1869 neun Teilhaber gründen die
Ungarische Eisenbahn Waggon und Maschinenfabrik AG in Gyor. 1897
wurden die ersten 30, 15 t, zwei Axen Tankwagen für die
Galicia-Carpathian Petroleum AG ausgeliefert. In den folgenden zwei
Jahren wurden dann rund 1000 Waggons hergestellt. Die Waggonfabrik
vorbereitete für die Pariser Weltausstellugn in 1900 verschiedene
Eisenbahnpassagierwaggons und Tranpsortwaggons. Die Londoner
Untergrundbahn bestellte dort 30 Merfach-Einheiten Züge, 66
Passagierwagen und Drehachsengestelle. Dieser Auftrag kann als auch
erster internationaler Erfolg angesehen werden. |

| Die Nutzfahrzeugfabrik „Magyar
Vagon es Gepgyar Resvenitarsasag“ wurde 1904 in Raab (Ungarn)
gegründet. Ab dem Jahr 1904 wurden neben dem Nutzfahrzeugbau (Lkw)
auch noch bis 1925 Personenwagen unter der Marke Rába hergestellt.
1920 erwarb Rába von Krupp eine Lkw-Bau-Lizenz, die allerdings erst
1927 benutzt wurde. 1928 erwarb Rába von Austro-Fiat eine neue
Lizenz, um Lkw bauen zu können. Ab 1939 begann man unter der Lizenz
von MAN eine Motoren-Produktion bis 1945. Nach dem Zweiten
Weltkrieg 1945 hatte die Fabrik unter den
Reparationsverpflichtungen sehr zu leiden und ein Jahr später
erfolgte die Verstaatlichung. Bis 1961 hatte der Nutzfahrzeugbau
für die Fabrik fast keine Bedeutung mehr und es wurden Waggons
repariert und gebaut. Von 1961 bis 1969 wurde der kommunistische
Firmenname: „Wilhelm Pieck Vagon es Gepgyar“
eingetragen und wieder mit dem Nutzfahrzeugbau begonnen. |

| Im Jahr 1968 wurde erneut eine Lizenz
von MAN für den Motorenbau und Nutzfahrzeugbau erworben, wobei der
ungarische Staat der Nutzfahrzeugindustrie Kapital zu Verfügung
stellte. In der Zeit war Rába auch Teilezulieferer von DAF
geworden, im Gegenzug hatte DAF dafür Fahrerhäuser geliefert. Ab
1970 wurde der jetzige Name Magyar Vagon es Gepgyar mit der Marke
Rába festgeschrieben und es begann der Bau von kompletten MAN-Typen
unter der Marke Rába. 1994 wurde ein Joint-Venture mit Detroit
Diesel abgeschlossen. Eine Aufteilung des Unternehmens fand 1997
statt, wobei die Abteilungen Achsenbau, Motorenbau und
Fahrzeugherstellung getrennt wurden. Der ungarische Staat konnte
die Mehrheitsanteile behalten. Im Jahr 2006 beteiligte sich die
estnische Ivestitionsgruppe Trigon an dem Unternehmen: Magyar Vagon
es Gepgyar (Rába). |

Der tragische Tag
|
| Am 13. April 1944 wurde die
Eisenbahnwaggonbaufabrik, innerhalb der während der Teheran
Konferenz entschiedenen Maßnahmen, das erste Mal bombardiert was zu
300 Toten und großen Zerstörungen an Maschinen und Gebäuden führte.
Das Denkmal, welches 1993 errichtet wurde, soll an diesen Tag und
die Tragödie erinnern. |
