History
The Open-Air Bath, located on the Margit island, in a nature conservation area, was opened as a beach on the bank of the Danube in 1919. With the construction of the large pool it was transformed in 1921 into an open-air bath.
Owing to its high popularity it had to be expanded, therefore an architectural project tender was launched in 1937, as a result of which the plans composed by István Janáky were accepted. The current installation was completed on the basis of these plans. Its pools are supplied by the thermal springs of the Margit Island. In the second half of the 1980s, a five-path chute was built. The open-air bath, also equipped with a wave-bath pool, allocated in a park area, is visited by many foreign guests, in addition to the Hungarian ones. There are sports grounds and playgrounds for children, offering excellent distraction facilities for all age groups. In 2002 the pools of the Open-Air Bath were modernised, they were equipped with water filtering and revolving devices. The swimming pool was shaped into three sections: swimming pool, fancy pool and beach pool. Of these, the fancy pool is expecting visitors with neck shower, effervescence generator and whirling corridor.

The pools are filled up with thermal water containing calcium, magnesium, hydrogen-carbonate and sodium, of a low concentration of salt.

Important: No cars and motorcycles are allowed on the island. There is no pen in the cache, so bring your own! The hiding place is busy in the day time. Watch out for muggles! Put back the box as you found.

A Margitszigeten, természetvédelmi területen található strandfürdõ Duna-parti strandként 1919-ben nyitotta meg kapuit. A nagymedence megépítésével 1921-ben alakult át strandfürdõvé. Nagy népszerusége miatt bõvíteni kellett, ezért 1937-ben építészeti pályázatot írtak ki, amelyen Janáky István terveit fogadták el. Ezek alapján készült el a mai létesítmény, melynek medencéit a Szent Margit sziget termálforrásai táplálják. A 80-as évek második felében öt pályás csúszdát építettek. A hullámmedencével rendelkezõ ligetesített strandfürdõt a magyarok mellett sok külföldi vendég is felkeresi. Sportpályák és gyermekjátszóterek is kitûnõ kikapcsolódási lehetõséget kínálnak minden korosztály számára. 2002-ben a strand medencéit korszerûsítették, vízszûrõ-forgató berendezéssel látták el. Az úszómedencét háromrészesre alakították: úszó-, élmény- és strandmedencévé. Ezek közül az élménymedence nyakzuhannyal, pezsgõztetõvel, sodrófolyosóval várja a fürdõlátogatókat.

A medencék kis sókoncentrációjú, nátriumot is tartalmazó kalcium-magnézium-hidrogénkarbonátos termálvízzel vannak feltöltve.

Fontos: Az autók és a motorok ki vannak tiltva a szigetrõl. Nincs toll a ládában, ezért hozd magaddal a sajátodat! A rejtekhely forgalmas napközben. Vigyázz a muglikra! Úgy rejtsd vissza a dobozt, ahogy találtad.
Kérlek jelezd a logodban, ha valami probléma van a ládával: a logbook kezd betelni, a doboz megsérült, ...
