Befästningskullen
This part of Frösunda in Solna, just outside of Stockholm, is called Befästningskullen.
The name can be deduced from the military who resideded in this part for several hundred years. Now you will only find some buildings related to that period and of course some of the names.
The area has one big road going through the district, Gustav III:s boulevard, with housing on one side of the road and offices on the other side. The offices acts as noice protection towards the E4.
The offices along the Gustav III:s boulevard houses some well known multinational companies as well as smaller local ones.
The name of the road comes from one of the Swedish kings, Gustav III, who reigned 1771-1792. He is considered as the most talented, active and controversiel of all the Swedish kings.
He was shot during a masked ball at the Opera in Stockhholm on 16 March 1792.
