While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

The statue is 50 meters South West of the geocache. Bring your own pencil!

Skulpturen "Fiskerens kone" ble avduket i 1994 i Møllebukten, like ved KNM Harald Hårfagre. Kunstneren er Reidar Eide. "Fiskerens kone" er utført i bronse, og har en høyde på 190 cm.

Skiltet ved skulpturen leser: "Ane Malene Jonsdatter Nilsen som gikk fra Tananger med fiskekjipa, ble rodd over hafrsfjord og gikk så videre til Madlaleieren hvor hun solgte fisken i offisersmessen, sommer som vinter, ofte sårbent og med skoene i hånden."

ENGLISH:

The sculpture "Fisherman's wife" was unveiled in 1994 in Møllebukten, close to the KNM Harald Hårfagre. The artist is Reidar Eide. "Fisherman's wife" is made of bronze, and has a height of 190 cm.

The sign of the sculpture reads: "Ane Malene Jonsdatter Nilsen who went from Tananger with fiskekjipa (fish sack), was rowed across Hafrsfjord and then went on to Madla Military Camp where she sold fish in the officer mess, summer and winter, often soar footed and with her shoes in her hand."
