Geocache Description:

Emily Dickinson, 1830-1886, was born in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she spent most of her life. She wrote prolifically, but was largely unknown until after her death, when her sister Lavinia discovered her trove of poems. She was first published in 1890. She explored the themes of death and immortality in many of her poems, of which "Because I could not stop for death" is one.

Be sure to visit the other nearby cache in the park. At the top of the hill you will be at the highest point in Hennepin County.
