Geocache Description:

This flight, of what were four locks, marked the eastern end of the summit level of the Thames & Severn Canal. The flight is now disused, some of it over grown, and part of it built on.

The cache is at the uppermost accessible part of what is left of the lock flight.

You are looking for a small clip lock box. The cache is not in the brick work of any bridge, arch, or lock walls. There is no need to try moving any part of the brick structures.

This can be done as a fairly quick cache and dash if parking near the village playing fields. But I would suggest parking at the Greyhound pub and taking the short walk to the cache, that way you will get to see in more detail what is left of locks two and three. If doing the later, take a left out of the pub car park, then take another left soon after down a narrow path between the houses marked by a public footpath sign on the right hand side of the road.

The terrain to the cache is quite easy going from both directions. But if attempting with young children, please be aware that even though there is often no water in what is left of this part of the canal, the drop over the edge of locks two and three is quite a significant one. Please be careful.
