Lawford is a large village in the Tendring district of Northeast Essex. Westward side of the 3 part-rural communities of Lawford, Manningtree and Mistley.
Near to the cache location is Heart's Delight garden centre, well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch or just for a wander around. Also nearby is Tendring showground; host to the Tendring 100 show which is held every July. The housing in this area was mainly built by the local grain mill Edme (based close to Mistley) in order to house their workers. In particular the area around Colchester Road was built for this purpose.
The cache is a small square 140ml tupperware box, with a log book and some small swaps. I have placed my signature visit item of a small rubber duck in this cache!
You will need a pen/pencil! Be careful, this cache is overlooked by several houses and the opposite petrol station. Muggles everywhere! I've given it a slightly higher difficulty rating due to this.
You will find this cache near the location of the traditional Lawford village signpost.
