Geocache Description:

St Marys Nettlestead was the victim of a German bomber in 1940
and was restored in the 1950s.

It is set in peaceful and lovely Suffolk countryside and because
of the fully protected security system in place is open every
day.

St Marys dates back to Norman times and has an interesting Tudor
south porch. Inside is a carved stone font dating back over 600
years.

For more information check out Simon Knott’s excellent
Suffolk Churches website.
