Tonight's speakers are Michael Malvick (Ladybug Kids) and Victoria Noble
(Blazingpathways), who have used
Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK) extensively to plan caching
trips locally and abroad. Last month, they discussed Pocket
Queries which provide the gpx files to upload into GSAK. If
you missed their Pocket Query class on October 14, you may download
the materials from the GeocacheAlaska! Education webpage.
You will also gain more from this evening's course by downloading
GSAK by following the link from the Geocaching.com Geocaching
Software webpage to your
desktop computer and exploring it ahead of time. You may also
download GSAK to a laptop and bring it to this session for the
hands on exercises. A sample pocket query is posted here on the GeocacheAlaska! Education site
for you to preload into GSAK so everyone will be working with the
same database. Note, GSAK is only PC compatible.
