Geocache Description:

The King’s Cache mini series is created to honor the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. This trail is currently being improved upon by an Eagle Scout candidate from Boy Scout Troop 52 King St. Boy Scouts of America. This second container is lock and lock, and is located on the blue/red trail, parking is at the stated coordinates.

Part 2, The Boy Scout Pathway, this one is for the boy’s ! The Boy Scouts of America is celebrating it’s 100 th Birthday this year 2010. It is one of the largest youth organizations in the U.S. Since it’s founding in 1910, more than 110 million Americans have been members of BSA. The scout goal is to promote youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self reliance in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and career oriented programs and community organizations. The scout method is to encourage values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoor skills. The scout devisions are Cub, which includes ranks of Tiger, Cub, Wolf, Bear, and Weblo (5-11); Boys (10-18) Tenderfoot, Second and First Class, Star, Life, Eagle; and separate Venturing Program for men and women ages 14 and up. Chicago publisher W.D. Boyce incorporated BSA on Feb 8, 1910, and its purpose was to teach boys patriotism, courage, self-reliance and kindered values. The current mission of BSA is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of The Scout Oath and Law. Scout Oath : On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. Scout Law: A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. Motto: be prepared. Slogan: do a good turn daily. My brother is currently a First Class Scout and is on a pathway toward star, life, eagle, where he will learn skills to make himself a better person over his lifetime. My brother completed his Eagle Scout in May 2014.
