Criado em 1968, instalado numa antiga adega de 1875. Mostra uma colecção de 10500 peças, alfaias agrícolas, máquinas e objectos ligados à viticultura desde o século XVIII.
O museu alberga um dos mais significativos espólios ligados à actividade vitivinícola existentes no país, constituído por cerca de dez mil peças.
O Museu Nacional do Vinho de Alcobaça , ocupa um núcleo de edifícios de indiscutível interesse arquitectónico e reunindo o mais importante espólio vitivinícola existente em Portugal.
Neste momento o Museu Nacional do Vinho encontra-se Encerrado para Manutenção.

The museum houses one of the most significant collections related with wine industry in the country, with more than ten thousand pieces.
The National Museum of Wine, placed in Alcobaça, occupies central buildings of architectural interest and gathers the most important wine collection in Portugal. In the present days the National Museum of Wine is closed for maintenance.
