THIS WAS THE FIRST CACHE HIDDEN IN SYCAMORE CANYON! It is in the NW
portion. The hike is about .4 miles of up and down. Follow the
narrow trail. There is a short, steep climb from where you park to
hit the main trail. Off of Canyon Crest Drive take Via Concepcion
SE to the end, park at N 33 56.797 W 117 19.582. The closer streets
don't allow parking on the street. There are also mountain bike
routes. Dogs ok! Watch for rattlesnakes when the weather warms up.
The cache is well camouflaged (we think!). The cache is a medium
sized cylinder, but with a smaller opening of 3 1/4" diameter.
There is a telephone pole with a 360 on it in the general area. Our
GPS was giving us a small range of readings-hope this gets you
close enough!
Cache Contents:

If the steep bank where you park looks too eroded, park at N 33
56.798 W 117 19.817 (few streets W)and walk E cross country to meet
the cache trail. This adds 2 small hills. For a 1.5m (1 way)
ride/hike to near the cache, park at this spot and head on trail
going S straight ahead and up steep little hill. At first trail
junction go down towards gully. Follow trail along gully then
towards the telephone pole with big support wires at N 33 56.327 W
117 19.560. At this junction go towards first parking coordinates
to meet up with the narrower cache trail. For a much longer, steeper
ride, start farther S on Canyon Crest or Allesandro. No shade!
