Located close to Shelly Beach and North Head. The Bower Surf Spot is located here and it's one of Manly's best surfing locations when there is a southerly swell. A scenic walk links Manly Beach to Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach. Shelly beach is a great protected beach, perfect for little geokiddies. There is also a car park close by if you're not walking around from Manly.
A great dive location and on any weekend you are likely to see some local dive schools at Shelly Beach training. I've dived this spot many times in the day and night. Occasionally on dives Dusky Whaler sharks are seen over the winter months in this area. This is also a good spot for snorkelling. The beach is part of a marine reserve so the fish life is abundant.
The cache is a regular size and a great cache for travelbugs. I'm a firm believer that geocaching is about the search and being taken to beautiful and interesting locations, and as this is a marine park please do not leave junk swaps (that one earring or dodgy toy left in the cache is no use or value to anyone). Just enjoy the view and enjoy your visit to Manly
