This is in an area of the Madera Canyon at 5555ft. There's lots of
good trails in the area and parking is easy to find. The cache is
only about 450 ft from the trail. Do not let that fool you. Prepare
to walk up a slippery slope so watch those knees. Do not go
directly up to it, take the easy way. Wear good shoes!
A
parking pass is required for the Coronado National Forest. You
can get a daily pass for $8 at the park or a $32 yearly pass can be
purchased. The pass is good for Mt. Lemmon, Sabino Canyon and
Madera Canyon. The park is open from 0600 to 2200.
