Construite au XVIème siècle pour un tanneur, cette belle maison à pans de bois a bien failli disparaître lorsque, dans les années 1970, un camion la percuta. Elle s’appuie sur un poteau cornier, sculpté d’un arbre de Jessé. Il représente la généalogie du Christ, de Jessé (confondu naguère avec Abraham, d’où le nom de la maison), à la Vierge. On y distingue huit personnages (les rois d’Israël), curieusement un de plus qu’avant la restauration, dans les années 1990, de cette belle maison, appelée aussi jadis « maison des quatre vents ».

This beautiful with over hanging wooden elements, built by a tanner in the 16th century, was almost destroyed when a truck crashed into it in the 1970’s. The house is supported by a corner column where a Jesse’s Tree is sculpted. This tree represents the geneaology of Christ, from Jesse (confused with that of Abraham, hence the name of the house) to the Virgin Mary. We can distinguish 8 persons, oddly enough, one more than before the restoration in the 1990’s. This house also used to be « The House of the Four Winds ».
