Geocache Description:

This is a regular sized cache hidden in the grounds of Malahide Castle Demesne near the Fry Model Railway. Entrance to the Malahide Castle Demesne is free and the opening hours are listed below.

This cache has been hidden in memory of James Leahy. James lost his brave battle with the childhood cancer Neuroblastoma on February 14th 2010. He was eight years old. He loved trains, Star Wars, Lego and Ben 10 amongst other things and we will always remember his great big smile and his strength of character. We are hiding this cache near the Fry Model Railway in the grounds of Malahide castle in memory of James' great love of trains.

James - this one's for you! May you follow its adventures from that great big railway in the sky.

Malahide Castle Demesne is situated within easy walking distance of the centre of Malahide Village.

By Car: Signposted from the M1/N1 Dublin-Belfast and from the main Dublin to Malahide road.

By Bus: Bus 42 from Talbot Street in Dublin city centre.

By Train: A 15 minute walk from Malahide Train Station on the main line from Dublin to Drogheda/Dundalk which is also serviced by the DART.

The opening hours for Malahide Demesne are as follows:

November to January: 10.00am - 5.00pm
February to March 10.00am - 6.00pm
April 10.00am - 7.00pm
May 10.00am - 8.00pm
June to August 10.00am - 9.00pm
September 10.00am - 8.00pm
October 10.00am - 7.00pm

The cache is a regular sized tuberware box wrapped in a black canvas bag.
