sistemu.
Melna papele/P. nigra/ - liels koks ar skraju vainagu, tieviem
zariem un dzinumiem un stumbru lidz 4 m diametra.
Kinas papele/P. simonii/ - paliels koks ar platu, parkarenu
vainagu, kas atgadina ara berzu.
Smaržiga papele/P. suaveolens/ - videjs koks ar

Poplars are Willows native trees. In Latvia can find many
various species of poplars.
Balsam poplar / P. balsamifera / - medium trees with a strong
and obvious ramifications. Site adainas, characterized by dark
green glossy outer shell, but the bottom of the greenish yellow
balsam stains.
Berlin poplar / Px berolinensis / - strong trees with wide
conical crown, a little knot and a straight trunk. Leaves
Characteristics - woolly curly edge.
Canadian poplar / Px canadensis / - large and fast-growing trees
with large shallow flower and pollen quantity, as well as an
aggressive root system.
Black poplar / P. nigra / - a large tree with a crown of Sparse,
thin twigs and shoots and trunks up to 4 m in diameter.
Chinese poplar / P. simony / - sizeable tree with wide,
parkarenu crown, reminiscent of birch.
Fragrant poplar / P. suaveolens / - medium tree with narrow
ovoid stavu and hand aromatic leaves.
Spilvauglu poplar / P. trichocarpa / - a large tree with a steep
crown, resembling a swamp scrub. Characteristic of the bottom
leaves yellow patches of balsam, a lot of pappus.
Jelgava black poplar is one of the largest introduced (alien)
species of trees in Latvia. Poplar height is 28.5 m, circumference
is 6.2m.
