Geocache Description:


Aegolius Lilliputianus is small owl which lives in the "Ligatne
Nature Trails". These owls are poorly known, because most of the time they are
spending in their birdhouses, which are located about 21m high, in
places with scenic view.

Description

Grown-up owls are about 9cm (3,5'') tall, with a 15-20 (6-8'')
wingspan.They are mild grey with lighter feather outlines. The head is about
35% from the whole body, with yellow eyes and white facial discs.
In longer terms they can change colour, due to abiotic, biotic and anthropogenic factors.
