Moric Remeš (21. 7. 1867 - 19. 7. 1959)
Moric Remeš byl lékar a vlastivedný spisovatel, geolog a
paleontolog. Dr. M. Remeš se narodil v Príbore, pusobil v
Olomouci, nejprve jako sekundár zemské nemocnice, pak jako
praktický lékar a konecne jako šéflékar olomouckého
reditelství státních drah.
Dr. Remeš mel mimo své lékarské povolání již od mládí
velký zájem o prírodní vedy, zejména paleontologii. Vedecká cinnost
Dr. Remeše byla zamerena predevším na výzkum fauny
štramberské jury a celechovického devonu. Naši i
zahranicní paleontologové na jeho pocest pojmenovali jeho jménem
celou radu zkamenelin.
Eugen Stoklas (11. 11. 1882 - 11. 3. 1963)
Eugen Stoklas byl prozaik, prekladatel a básník. Narodil se v
Príbore, byl profesorem reálného gymnázia v Litovli. Radu let byl
clenem a pak i predsedou Muzejní rady v Litovli. Sbíral povesti z
Hané a Litovelska, psal loutkové hry, dramata.

Sigmund Freud byl významný psycholog, tvurce a zakladatel
psychoanalýzy - zkoumání psychologických prícin duševních
poruch. Zajímal se o výklad snu, lidské vedomí i nevedomí.
Sigmund Freud prožil v Príbore necelá tri léta svého
života. Roku 1859 se rodina prestehovala pres Lipsko do Vídne,
kde následne strávil témer celý život až do posledního
roku, kdy byl nucen emigrovat do Anglie.

Rehor Volný byl vlastivedný spisovatel, topograf. V roce 1820
byl ustanoven profesorem filologie a dejin na filozofickém ústavu v
Brne. Zacal vydávat sborník pro dejiny Moravy a Slezska, ve volném
case cestoval po Morave. Topografická díla Rehore Wolného zustávají
dodnes základním pramenem k poznání kulturního obrazu a památek
Moravy v první polovine 19. století. Právem je pokládán za otce
moravského místopisu.

Moric Remeš was doctor and national historical writer,
geologist and paleontologist. Doctor Remeš was born in
Príbor, then he worked in Olomouc at first as junior doctor of land
hospital, then as practical doctor and finally as chief doctor of
directorate of state rail of Olomouc.
Doctor Remeš had apart from his medical job already from
youth big interest of natural sciences, especially paleontology.
Science activities of doctor Remeš was focused especially on
research of fauna of the jurassic of Štramberk and the
devonian of Celechovice. Our and also foreign palentologists named
after him a lot of fossils.
Eugen Stoklas (11th November 1882 - 11th March. 1963)
Eugen Stoklas was prosaist, translator and poet. He was born in
Príbor, he was professor in real grammar schoolin Litovel. He was
for many years member and then also foreman of Museum council in
Litovel. He collected legends from Haná and Litovel, he wrote
puppet plays, dramas.

He was interested in interpretation of dreams, human mind and also
unconscious.
Sigmund Freud lived in Príbor for less than three years. In 1859
his family moved across Lipsko to Víden, where he spent almost
whole life, in the last year he had to emigrate to England.

Moravian on firs half of 19th cantury. He is rightfully consider
father of Moravian toponymy.
