Das Blockmeer am Lusengipfel
Der Lusen gehört neben dem Rachel, dem Arber und dem Großen Falkenstein zu den bedeutenden Bergen des Bayrischen Waldes. Er bildet zusammen mit den anderen Bergen den Grenzkamm zwischen dem „Nationalpark Bayrischer Wald“ und dem „Nationalpark Sumava“ auf tschechischer Seite
Im September 2005 wurde das Blockmeer, aus dem der Lusengipfel besteht, vom Bayrischen Landesamt für Umwelt mit dem Gütesiegel „Bayerns Schönste Geotope“ ausgezeichnet und gehört seitdem zu den bedeutendsten geologischen Besonderheiten Bayerns. Der Felsgipfel ist eine geologische Sehenswürdigkeit, die den Lusen unverwechselbar macht
Den Gipfel des Lusen kann man am schönsten über die markierten Wanderwege von Finsterau (Finsterauer Lusensteig) oder über Wanderwege aus dem Bereich Waldhäuser erreichen. Hier sei konditionsstarken Wanderern insbesondere der Weg von der Fredenbrücke über die Martinsklause, das Teufelsloch und anschließend über den Sommerweg und die Himmelsleiter empfohlen (ca. 3h, ca. 560 HM).
Die Koordinaten sind in der Nähe des Gipfelkreuzes gelegt, damit dieser cache nicht mit einem Kurz-Multi vom Team Lusen1 kollidiert. Eine Informationstafel zum Lusen findet ihr in der Nähe des Lusenschutzhauses bei N 48° 56.275 E 013° 30.442.
Um diesen cache zu loggen, sind 2 Fragen zu beantworten. Weiterhin wäre es schön, wenn ihr ein Foto von euch mit eurem GPS am Gipfelkreuz machen würdet.

THE SEA OF BLOCKS ON TOP OF THE LUSEN
The Lusen belongs next to “Rachel”, the “Arber” and the “Goßer Falkenstein” to the major mountains of the Bavarian Forest. Together with the other mountains he builds the border ridge between the "Bavarian Forest National Park" and the "National Park Sumava" on the Czech side.
