Geocache Description:

This cache is located near a little ruin of chapel Sv. Petar with wide lookout.

Two years ago - in summer 2008 - I established a cache Rilic-Sutvid ( GC1FPRQ ) on the top of Sutvid - the highest peak of mountain range Velika Kapela. The cache was visited by only seven cachers till this time (end of August 2010). The last visit was a year ago. I mean that the visit of the cache is supposed to be too difficult. So I decided to create an another new one. It is about 350 m about sea level near a little chapel St. Petar. The approach is much easier, but the visit of cache gives trouble too. But it is worth the effort. From the cache is a wide lookout. The place is relatively much-frequented.

lookout from Sv. Petar

There are three marked paths to the chapel.

The first one start in old village Strn. It goes to guidepost R12 and then directly to the chapel .

The second one starts in old village Strn too. The first 300 m is common with the first way (to the guidepost R12) and then goes through the abandoned village Kolovrat to the guidepost (R23) and to the chapel. This way is longer, but more interesting then the first one. But you have to go through bushes. I don’t recommend use this way for return from Sv. Petar, because it is more difficult for orientation in return direction.

The third way starts from church Sv. Dominik above village Zivogosce – Porat. This approach goes through bushes to guidepost R23 and to the chapel.
