Geocache Description:

[FIN] Nykyisen Puumala-Juva tien vierellä on jäljellä ikiwanhaa Savonlinna-Lappeenranta -tietä, joka kulkee Siikakosken kohdalla vanhan kivisillan yli. Silta on kivistä ladottu kaksiholvinen silta ilman koristeluja. Kivisillan ikä ei ole tiedossa, mutta sen tiedetään olleen olemassa jo Kustaa III:n sodan aikana 1788-1790.

Kätkö ei sijaitse kivisillan rakenteissa. Kätkö jää talvella lumen alle.

[ENG] Alongside of the current modern road between Puumala and Sulkava has remained parts of the old road leading from Savonlinna to Lappeenranta centuries ago. In Siikakoski area also an old stone bridge over Siikajoki river still exists. The age of the bridge is unknown but it existed already during the War of Gustav The Third in 1788-1790.

The cache is not located in the structure of the bridge. In winter the cache lies under snow and cannot be found.
