This is under water at Raystown lake near Snyders run. requires a boat of some type and underwater swimming.Cache is enclosed in a 2" diameter pipe about 15 in. long that is hooked to a 15 lb weight with a carabiners an empty jug painted yellow is also attached to the weight to mark the spot so it can be found after it is unhooked try not to pull the whole thing out of the water. it is in about 16' of water.you will need channel locks to get end of cache open
Cache has been repaired. A test plug has been placed at the end where the screw off cap was, no longer need channel locks. New log has been placed inside in a bag. All the names of the people that found it has been added since the other one was destroyed. We had a hard time finding it. Found out from a diver that he had taken it out of the water thought it was a pipe bomb.Then some cachers came along and told him about it. they put it back in. The diver went and found it for us we put it back to where it was fixed.It is marked that it is a cache.
There have been dnf the cache has been removed or relocated. I went out today and replaced cache. The cache is marked with an orange tide bottle about 6 ft.under water. The cache is attached with carabiners 3 ft. below the bottle, this is attached to a weight 12ft. down from the water surface depending on the water level. Not as deep as the first. The cords. were taken right before a storm will go out next week and and do another reading. Can be seen from the water surface when the water is calm. Will need pliers to turn nut on test plug.
