Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

In 1896 the Upper Douglas Cable Tramway was opened, linking the Prom to the hilly parts of Douglas where horse drawn vehicles struggled to operate. The line was built and operated by the IOM Tramways and Electric Power Company, who also ran the Horse trams and Electric Railway. The Cable tramway ran from the Victoria Clock (where it was connected via points to the horse tramway) up Victoria Street, Prospect Hill, Bucks Rd, Woodbourne Rd, York Rd, Ballaquayle Rd and Broadway. I’ve placed 3 caches at various points along its route.

This Cache is located at the start of the line where a section of the cable tramway had been preserved until recent work to widen the junction saw it removed.

The cache is a magnetic nano and should be an easy find despite the fact that the area can get very busy.
