Milfontes sempre foi e será um local de eleição para mim.
Tenho duas mil cento e doze razões para adorar este sítio,
bastar-me-ia apenas uma para o encantamento se manter.
Ainda se mantém mas admito que há coisas que mudaram muito.
Algumas para melhor, outras nem tanto, espero convictamente que se
preserve o essencial, a natureza.
O preço pago pelo desenvolvimento do turismo foi elevado.
Um dia alguém finalmente entenderá que o que encanta quem por aqui
passa e regressa, é a natureza e a paisagem selvagem e intocada
pelo homem.
Sempre foi e se um dia isso se fôr, passará a ser um local como
outros tantos que conhecemos, templos de betão desprovidos de
alma.
A foz de um rio é sempre um local único para apreciar a natureza em
todo o seu esplendor.
Como se usava dizer há uns anos..."se não gostas, não estragues" ,
faz CITO, pronto !
Esta cache visa apenas dar uma nova perspectiva da bela vila de
Milfontes, a foz do Mira e algumas praias a Sul menos
conhecidas.
Este é um local onde poderemos ver todos os anos as alterações no
areal das Furnas.
Por alturas de Abril/Maio é possível "adivinhar" como o areal se
apresentará no pino do Verão especialmente na baixa-mar.
Estas falésias e praias escondidas encerram mil e uma histórias do
tempo dos piratas. Gosto de as imaginar assim mas a realidade foi
mesmo essa.
Foi uma das razões para a construção do Forte de
S.Clemente ou Castelo de Milfontes, o link elucida sobre a
história do mesmo e o seu famoso miradouro, conhecido pela barbacã.
Não é preciso grandes aventuras ou riscos para chegar à cache, há
trilhos bem demarcados usados frequentemente pelos
pescadores.
A colocação da cache foi feita de havaianas, logo a dificuldade em
aceder à mesma, é mínima.
Através da praia é possível mas não aconselhável, algumas falésias
correm risco de desmoronar e algumas vias são as linhas de água de
nascentes, que podem ser muito escorregadias. Estas inúmeras
nascentes são também uma das razões para o nome da vila e é
inteiramente verdade...

EN-Milfontes always was for me
"the place".
I have twenty one
twelve reasons to love this place, only one will be enough to
maintain my thoughs.
Still remains but
I must admit that some things have changed quite a
bit.
Some for good,
others not so, I strongly hope that nature remains
preserved.
The price paid for
tourism development was very high and generates a few negative
impacts in the landscape.
One day someone
will finally understand what pleases those who pass by and return,
the nature and the landscape merely untouched by
man.
Always was like
that and if one day that goes away, it will be a place like many
others we know, soulless concrete temples.
The mouth of a
river is always a unique place to enjoy nature in all its
splendor.
As we used to say
a few years ago ... "if you dislike, do not spoil," do
CITO !
This cache intention was only to give you a new
perspective of the beautiful village of Milfontes, the estuary of
the Mira and some lesser-known beaches in the
southeast.
This is a place
where we can see the changes in the sands of this
beach.
By April / May it
is possible to "guess" how the sands are going to be in the lower
tide, mid summer.
These cliffs and
hidden beaches contain a thousand and one tales of pirate's
time. I like to think so but reality was really
that.
It was one of the
reasons for the construction of St. Clement's Fort best known
as Milfonte's Castle, use the previous link´s to check it's history
and it's famous belvedere, known as barbacã.
No need to high adventure or
risks to reach the cache, there are well marked trails frequently
used by fishermen.
The placement of
the cache was made in Hawaiian's, so the difficulty getting access
to it, is minimal.
Through the beach
is possible but not advisable to reach it, some cliffs are at risk
of collapse and some rock ways are the lines of spring water, which
can be very slippery.
These springs are also one of the reasons for the name of the
village and it is entirely true ...
