OReviewer: From the Northern Region Office, New Jersey State Parks Department:

Over a year ago New Jersey enacted a policy that all geocachers must obtain a permit to have their cache on State Park property. We have informed all geocaching host that this is their responsibility and have given them ample time to go about getting their permits. At this time, over a year later, there are still several caches that haven’t complied.

We ask that as the land managers for the attached properties we would like to have these illegal caches removed.

Based on the list provided by the state, I am forced to archive this listing. If you have a permit, get a permit or don't believe your cache is on state park/forest land, please contact me via email. Make sure you include the GC code.

If you don't plan to get a permit, please remove your geocache so it doesn't become geo-trash.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located off the main trail of Jungle
Habitat, on top of the hill as it flattens out. You do not need to
get near the cliff to locate this cache, but be sure to
check out the view of the airport. The terrain is mostly flat with
a rocky spot & a few thorn bushes. Parking is at the old
habitat entrance on the left, just before the airport. There is an
opening in the chain link fence for hikers.
Note: do to theft this container is no longer an ammo can.

Planes, trains, and heavy metal? This cache is dedicated to Iron
Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson. Why near an airport? Because not
only is Bruce a smashing vocalist, he also happens to be a fully
licensed commercial airline pilot! Although singing is his first
love and planes are his passion, Bruce is a fan of all things heavy
and metal. (He’s even a bit of a train
enthusiast.) So to keep with this theme, this cache will be a trading
post for the metal that moves as well as the metal that grooves.
Rock and metal CD’s are great, toys, models or just about
anything to do with planes, trains, bikes, cars, spaceships etc.
are good too. Remember to trade in kind and nothing too offensive
please: let’s keep it PG for the little tikes. The original
cache contents to get things rolling are: Log book with 2 pens, 2
small airplanes, a red led light and an emergency poncho. Please
re-hide cache as you found it and use stealth, as this is a popular place for the locals to ride around on their dunebuggies etc.
