Auf der Gemarkung Srima-Pržba befindet sich eine
frühchristliche doppelte Basilia, die 1969 entdeckt und 1970
ausgegraben wurde. Es wurden die Grundmauern freigelegt umgeben von
Gräbern der Geistlichen. Die Wände sind aus stabilem Stein, der
Boden ist mit Mörtel begradigt. Eine Besonderheit ist ein neuer
Brunnen gebaut in einem alten. Sichtbar sind Überreste des
Taufbeckens und Heiligtümer in beiden Teilen der Basilika.
Zwei Kirchen an einer Stelle sprechen nicht für die Entstehung zur
gleichen Zeit. Deshalb wird davon ausgegangen, dass die beiden
Hälften dieser doppelten Basilika im 5. und 6. Jahrhundert getrennt
voneinander entstanden sind. Über den Standort ist man sich nicht
im Klaren, da eine zugehörige Siedlung bis heute nicht gefunden
wurde. Die Siedlungsspuren in der Bucht von Srima aus dieser Zeit
scheinen zu weit weg.
Auch warum die Basilika aufgegeben wurde, ist unklar, da weder
Aufzeichnungen dazu gefunden wurden noch Spuren eines Feuers oder
anderer Zerstörungen erkennbar sind.
Der Cache ist von Srima aus zu Fuß oder mit dem Mountainbike in ca.
2 km zu erreichen, dazu am Ortsausgang dem Schild "bike track"
folgen. Wer es bequemer mag, kann von der Magistale Richtung
Jadrija abbiegen und nach knapp einem Kilometer links direkt am
Cache parken

In 1969 an early christian double basilika was found in the
district of Srima-Pržba. 1970 the excavations of the
foundation walls began. Some graves of clerics were found around
the basilika too. A characteristic of this ruin is a new built
standpost in the middle of an older one. You can also see the
baptistery and sanctuarys in both parts of the basilika.
Probably the two parts of the church are not built together.
Archeoligists mentioned that they are built seperately in the 5th
and 6th century. It is also unclear why it is built at this place
because no traces of colonys were found in this area. The colony
traces in the bay of srima seem to be too far away.
It is also unclear why the basilika was quit. No notations were
found and no traces of a fire or any other destroyment are
cognizable.
You can reach the cache by bike or hiking from Srima in about 2 km.
Follow the sign "bike track" at the end of srima, way to the
magistrale. Or if you like it more comfortable, leave the
magistrale direction to Jadrija. You can park your car after about
1 km left directly at the cache location.
