[ENG] Abandoned sand and gravel pit with crushing and sorting facilities – factory "Riva" 1963-1996.
[[LAT] „Riva” bija smilts un grants karjers ar drupinašanas un škirošanas fabrika Liepajas rajona. Šis monstrs tika ierikots 1963.g. smilts un grants atradnes „Saliena-Griva”. Bija planots, ka izejvielu krajumi nodrošinas fabrikas darbu 25-30 gadus. Karjera ieguto smilts un grants maisijumu f-ka parstradaja – drupinaja, mazgaja un sadalija frakcijas. Pec tam granti un škembas (frakcijas pa 5-20 un 20-40 mm) nogadaja silosa tipa noliktavas, bet mazgato un škidro smilti sabera konustipa noliktavas pie Rivas dzc. Stacijas. Gatavo produkciju pasutitajiem nogadaja pa dzelzcelu un ar autotransportu. 1969.gada tika veikti rekonstrukcijas darbi, kas fabrikas jaudu palielinaja gandriz divas reizes. Objektu cela cietumnieki, kuriem bija vai nu videji smagi sodi vai nu tie, kuriem drizuma beidzas soda izciešanas terminš, vini tika izmitinati turpat netalu pašuzceltajas 3jas barakas un dzivojamas ekas. Fabrika savu darbu izbeidza 1996.
[ENG] "Riva" was the factory at Liepaja district with sand and gravel pit with crushing and sorting facilities. This monster was built in 1963 at sand and gravel pit “Saliena-Griva”. Was intended that the stocks of raw materials will be enough for factory supply for 25 to 30 years. At career gained sand and gravel mixture in the factory was refined – granulated, washed and split into factions. After gravel and flinders (fractions over 50-20 and 20-40 mm) was delivered to silo type storage, but the sand was washed and watery sand was filled into conic warehouses near Riva railway station. Finished goods were delivered to customers by rail and by road. In 1969 were carried out reconstruction work and factory output increased almost twice. Objects were built by the prisoners, who were either moderate penalty, either by those who will soon be ending his sentence period. They were housed up nearby in self build 3 barracks as well in residential buildings. Factory closed its work in 1996.

[ENG] The special climbing equipment is not necessary, however not recommend attend object at night and especially when icy and slippery – that could be dangerous, for that reason terrain is a bit higher, that why high probability that the cache will be closed at winter time!
