Geocache Description:

This is the start of a new Cricket pitch micro series, like the church series it would be great if people could expand this series, but first please let me know so I can keep accurate records. Many Thanks to Prosniper for helping me set up this series.

Cricket has been played in Chiddingfold since the early 19th Century, records confirming the existence of Chiddingfold Cricket Club in 1816. However, the earliest recorded match involving players from the Village took place at Ripley on 13th and 14th July 1804, when the combined strength of Ripley and Chiddingfold played against the M.C.C.

Records, however, do confirm the existence of the Club in 1816 and by 1939 five additional clubs were playing cricket in and around the Village.
For centuries the Club played friendly fixtures and became ingrained in Chiddingfold Village life. (Sourced fromm Chiddingfold Cricket Club)

This Cache is wheel chair acessable but the final part does require a small amout of bending down. There is no room for TB's but there is room for small geocoins.
