Le San Petrone est une montagne très fréquentée car son accès est plutôt facile.
C'est une montagne d'altitude moyenne,
mais son principal intérêt est qu'elle constitue un belvédère remarquable.
De son sommet, on voit presque tous les autres sommets de l'île et si le temps est très clair,
les îles de l'archipel toscan et l'Italie.
N'oubliez pas de prevoir a boire et à manger, et de bien consulter les avis météo avant l'ascension.
Départ du col de prato 986 metres d'altitude, suivre le sentier rouge depuis le parking de la pizzeria U magiu (N42 25'625 E9 19'912).
La cache se situe sous la face Est de la croix en bois qui domine le sommet.
The San Petrone is a very frequented mountain because its access is nearly easy.
It's a middle height mountain, but its main interest is that it is a remarquable belvedere.
From the top, you can see all the other top of the island and if the weather is clear, toscan archipels and Italy.
Don't forget to bring water and food and to consult daily meteo advice before starting the ascent.
Departure from the pass of Prato 986 meters of height, follow the red path from the car park of the pizzeria U magiu (N42 25'625 E9 19'912).
The cache is situated under the eastern face of the wooden cross which overlooks the top.
