Cave Bath

En.: The Cave Bath is a thermal bath in a natural cave in Miskolctapolca, which is part of the city of Miskolc, Hungary, and is unique in Europe. The suburb is laying in the footstep of Bukk hills and forests, a relaxing, calm place. The world famous cave bath is a must see attraction. You can swim deep into the hills through the tunnels and caves which filled with thermal water. All the cave bath are fully renovated in the recent years, offers you not only thermal water, but sauna, massage, medical threatments and children playground and pool as well as newly built water attractions for adults. If you done with the swimming or massage, you can take long walks in the forest of Bukk, even you can walk through the hills to Lillafured

The thermal water (temperature: 30°C, 86°F) is reputed to cure pain in the joints, and since it has lower salt content than most thermal waters (around 1000 mg/litre), people can bathe in it for much longer, practically for an unlimited amount of time.

The chemical composition of the spa water:
The temperature of the water of the thermal spring is 30 degrees Centigrade.

Anions: NO3- 1.3 mg/l, Cl- 8 mg/l, SO42- 5 mg/l, HCO3- 366 mg/l

Kations: K+ 1.9 mg/l, Ca2+ 101 mg/l, Mg2+ 11.9 mg/l, Na+ 9.2 mg/l

3. How old is this rock?
