Stora Enson johto päätti lopettaa sanomalehti- ja luettelopaperituotannon Varkaudessa syyskuun loppuun mennessä.
Kätkön paikalta voit katsella hiljenevää tehdasta

Painopaperin tuotanto loppui Varkaudessa 30.9.2010, kun paperikone 4:n
tuotanto ajettiin alas. Paperirata katkesi kello 9.13. Alkuperäisen aikataulun
mukaan koneen piti pysähtyä kello 11, mutta massat loppuivat jo aikaisemmin. PK
2, pysähtyi jo huhtikuussa 2010 markkinatilanteen vuoksi.
