Vaives dzirnavas celtas 19. gadsimta. Tas sastav no dzivojamas ekas, dzirnavu ekas, noliktavas, ka ari sluzu, straujtecu un kritenu kompleksa.
Savulaik piederejusas generalim Krisjanim Berkim.
1990. gada seit notikusi pirma LTF un PBLA kopiga sanaksme, kuras laika apstiprinats iespejamais Latvijas PSR Ministru padomes vadosais sastavs.
1998. gada vasara pec specigam lietusgazem dzirnavu dambis tika izpostits (velak atjaunots).
Dzirnavu apkartne medz notikt orientesanas sacensibas, ka ari laivu braucieni.
2005. gada SIA Forburga izsludinaja projekta skicu un ideju konkursu. Bija paredzets izveidot viesnicu, konferencu zali, pirti, banketu zali, sabiedriskas edinasanas iestadi. Diemzel si ideja netika realizeta.

Vaive mill was built in the 19th century. It consists of residential building, mill building, warehouse as well as complex from lock and other hydrological buildings.
Once time this place belonged to general Krisjanis Berkis.
In the year 1990 here was held first joint meeting of LPF and PBLA dedicated to possible leading staff of the Latvian SSR Council of Ministers.
In the summer of the year 1998 after intensive rainfall the mill dam was destroyed (later reinstated).
Area near the mill is used for orienteering competitions as well as for specific boating events.
In the year 2005 Forburga Ltd. announced the conceptual design and idea competition to establish a hotel, conference hall, sauna, banquet hall, public catering. Unfortunately this idea has not been realized.
