Geocache Description:

McMinnville City Park

Our grandfather was the caretaker of Mac City Park (as well as Wortman Park) and designed most of it. Years ago there used to be a house down in the heart of the park. Our mother lived in that house when she graduated from high school. Later our grandfather built a house on Wallace Road that overlooks the park, where her younger brother was raised. We decided to place this cache to help all of our children remember our grandfather and this beautiful park that he loved so much. We placed items in the cache that were special to him. Please bring something to trade that your grandfather loved. We're dropping in my sister's 75th anniversary geogem for OSSCAR, which we are all members of Daughters of the American Revolution because our grandfather loved genealogy, his family fought in the Revolutionary War and a $5 DQ gift card among other grandpa treasures.

Crongratulations to B and T Burton on their first- First to Find!!!

Although on the opposite side of the park: Read the history of the Star Mill, where we wanted to initially place the cache, but logistically couldn't, too close to Reading is Fundamental.
