Dieser Cache führt euch zu einer historische Dampflok der Baureihe 93 welche am Nostalgiebahnhof Ernstbrunn aufgestellt ist.
Die feierliche Enthüllung der Lokomotive fand am 13. Mai 2010 statt. Die Lok 93.1364, welche bisher im Werk Floridsdorf der ÖBB Technische Services beheimatet war, wurde auf der Schiene von Floridsdorf nach Ernstbrunn gezogen. Die letzten Meter den 60 Tonnen schweren Stahlkolosses brachte ein Spezialtransporter zum jetzigen Aufstellungsort.
Die Dampfloks der Reihe 93 wurden in den 20er-Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts als universell einsetzbare Dampfloks mit geringem Achsdruck in Österreich konstruiert und gebaut. Am Bau der insgesamt 167 Dampfloks der Reihe 93 waren alle damaligen österreichischen Lokomotivfabriken beteiligt. Diese Loks prägten über viele Jahrzehnte das Bild auf allen nicht elektrifizierten Bahnstrecken Österreichs, vor allem auch auf den Lokalbahnen im Weinviertel. Diese Loks wurden vor Personenzügen aber auch vor Güterzügen eingesetzt. Ende 1976 wurde die Reihe 93 aus dem Planeinsatz genommen – bis 1982 verblieben noch 93 im Reservestand!
Einige Exemplare dieser Baureihe 93 versehen noch heute Dienst im Nostalgiezugsbetrieb!

The cache leads you to a historical steam locomotive of the series 93 at the nostalgia railway-station Ernstbrunn.
The ceremonious exposure of the locomotive took place on the 13th of May, 2010. The locomotive 93.1364 was pulled on the rail from Floridsdorf to Ernstbrunn. On the last meters a special transporter brought the 60-tonnes-steel colossus to the current exhibition venue.
The steam locomotives of series 93 were constructed and built in the 20s of the last century as a multi-purpose steam-locomotive in Austria 167 steam locomotives of series 93 were built and all Austrian locomotive factories were involved in the construction. These kinds of locomotives were used for many decades on all non-electrified railway tracks in Austria as well as on many local tracks in the area of the Wine-Quarter. These locomotives were used as passenger trains and as wagon trains. In 1976 the series 93 was taken out of employment – until 1982 93 locomotives remained for reserve assets!
Some examples of the series 93 still provide service on nostalgia steam locomotive tours!
