Geocache Description:

Beautiful park in Olde City Philadelphia. Look for the bust of Ben Franklin...

Cache is hidden somewhere in this park.

UPDATE - Met the grounds keeper for this park. Please DO NOT walk in the bushes/shrubs towards the back of the park. The cache is NOT hidden in the shrubs. Check clues for more info about exact location.

“Go outside, get into nature and make your own discoveries!” That is what Dr. Scott challenges his viewers to do at the end of each Dinosaur Train episode.

In support of this call to action, WHYY in partnership with The Jim Henson Company, has hidden a Dinosaur Train themed geocache in a beautiful park in Olde City Philadelphia (please note, when at the park, do not walk in the the gardens/bushes - cache is not hidden there).

To find the location of other Dinosaur Train themed geocaches, simply search for “Dinosaur Train” in the keyword search option.

Each geocache celebrates a dinosaur featured in the Dinosaur Train Field Guide on the PBS Kids website, (visit link) .

The WHYY geocache is the Archaeopteryx geocache. Archaeopteryx is a feathered carnivore from the Jurassic period. Like modern birds, it had feathers and light weight bones. But like dinosaurs, it had teeth and a long, bony tail.

What is your favorite dinosaur? Be sure to tell us when signing the logbook!
