Geocache Description:

Searchers would be wise to use either a helicopter or at least several 4-wheel drive quads with at least one winch or travel by snowmobile in the winter. The route is very wet ( not Aug.), rocky, and muddy with losts of hills, holes and logs. Take some food/water, a flashlight and an ax or saw as trees tend to cover parts of the trail, and LOTS of toilet paper. To find it will take most of the day ... if you are lucky. No extra gas is necessary unless you have a Polaris or Honda.

This was originally hidden in a blue large coffee can under some branches and covered by a flat stone, surrounded by a clump of poplars and a fir tree 125 paces from a combination beaver dam/log bridge (if still there after the spring) and 25 paces NW off the trail.

However it has recently (2006) been renovated and is now in a pine tree about 25ft from the original spot - see TOMTEC's log for more details. The coordinates have been updated to reflect this move.

Included are: small magnets to find your keys after the quad falls in the beaver pond, glo-light in case it is dark, 8-AA batteries for 2 days of GPS to get out, notepad/pencil to write your loved ones your last thoughts, camera to take a picture of you and a local from the movie Deliverence "playing", MacDonald's toy (to be taken and left at another cache with my e-mail address under its arms), tap (?), deer fly tape for the way out in the summer, cleaning pads for the quad, "Elle" cooking CD to throw as a frizbee when the quad breaks down, map of where you ARE, marker to write notes on the plastic fenders of the quad, chain link to attach to your quads, multitool to repair the flooded carb, methylhydrate to soak up the water in your gas tank.

At the end you should have no trouble finding the cache ... if it is still light !] [ Good luck finding this one. It is for serious riders and adventurers. Take insect repellant and head nets in the spring/early summer. The fishing is great in this area. If you camp, hang your food in a tree away from camp as black bears are common. The big "brown" berries on the ground are moose droppings. DO NOT EAT ( note for city folk). Your cell-phone may not work up here. Tell someone where you are going. Our hats are off to you if you find it. ]
