This was originally hidden in a blue large coffee can under some
branches and covered by a flat stone, surrounded by a clump of
poplars and a fir tree 125 paces from a combination beaver dam/log
bridge (if still there after the spring) and 25 paces NW off the
trail.
However it has recently (2006) been renovated and is now in a
pine tree about 25ft from the original spot - see TOMTEC's log for
more details. The coordinates have been updated to reflect this
move.
Included are: small magnets to find your keys after the quad
falls in the beaver pond, glo-light in case it is dark, 8-AA
batteries for 2 days of GPS to get out, notepad/pencil to write
your loved ones your last thoughts, camera to take a picture of you
and a local from the movie Deliverence "playing", MacDonald's toy
(to be taken and left at another cache with my e-mail address under
its arms), tap (?), deer fly tape for the way out in the summer,
cleaning pads for the quad, "Elle" cooking CD to throw as a frizbee
when the quad breaks down, map of where you ARE, marker to write
notes on the plastic fenders of the quad, chain link to attach to
your quads, multitool to repair the flooded carb, methylhydrate to
soak up the water in your gas tank.
