Caislean na Circe (built in a night by a cock and a hen according to legend) is one of the oldest mortared castles in Ireland located on a small island on Lough Corrib between Maam and Doon. This Norman keep, placed in the direction of the cardinal compass points, was built early in the 12th Century by the sons of Roderick O'Connor, last High-King of Ireland.
When placing the cache we started our tour from the little beach just beside the car park. From there it's a 30-45 minute paddle to the cache.
The cache is a PET preform container.
Enjoy and don't forget to bring your camera ;-)
