Geocache Description:

This is a quick cache and dash on a public footpath running along the left hand side of the church.

St John the Baptist Church, Barnby, is a 13th century, thatched roof church. Extensive restoration work in the 1990s has uncovered wall paintings inside the church depicting various scenes. Rather surprising is the door to the church which is one of the original features from when it was built, and it's somehow managed to survive to this day!

This series of Church Micro caches has a bonus at the end of it. In order to find this one you will need to collect the clues placed in each log book. The churches making up this series are:
North Cove
Barnby
Gisleham
Oulton
Somerleyton
Herringfleet
Ashby (Bonus Cache)

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
