This cache is in a wood on a hillside overlooking the village of
Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
We had to look hard in this much-explored area of England to find a
place quiet enough to hide our cache. We settled on a wood near
enough to Great Missenden to make it easy for those travelling by
car -- but also convenient for walkers and day-trippers from London
(like us).
The cache is right on two popular walking routes, in fact -- the
South Bucks Way and the Great Missenden circular walk. As for us,
we took the long way round, coming a lovely eight miles from
Amersham via Little Missenden -- which we highly recommend.
And the cache? You'll find it in a very 'natural' hiding place --
but you may need to poke around (and under) to find its exact
location.
