Bernati heritage Multi-cache
Pohatu Nuva: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

EN Cache is located in Bernati territory. It consists of four stages and the final cache (every cache leads to the next cache till the final).
LV 1924.gada, ierodoties Bernatos, Latvijas pirmais prezidents Janis Cakste priecajas par svaigo juras apkartnes gaisu un teica: “Te jabut kurortam!”. Par godu tam, Bernatos tika uzstadita pieminas zime, kura šie vardi ir iemužinati.
Šis slepnis jums dos pavisam nelielu ieskatu Bernatu vesture 20.gs. Par laikiem, kad kurorts šeit vel tika tapa.
Aprakstu par redzeto atradisiet katra no cetriem posmiem (fotofilminas), un, protams, beigu slepni.
Meklet slepni iesakam doties ar kajam vai braukt ar velosipediem, ja dodaties ar motociklu vai mašinu, ludzu, atstajiet tos piemerota vieta, jo slepnis atrodas gan kapu zona, gan Bernatu dabas parka teritorija.

EN In 1924 when first Latvian prezident Janis Cakste arrived in Bernati, he enjoyed the fresh sea air and the surroundings. He said: ”Here must be resort!” In honor of that in Bernati memorial sign was made where these words are perpetuated.
These cache will give you very little insight into the history of Bernati in 20th century, when the resort was still under construction.

You will find a description of what you saw in each of the four stages (photographic film box) and of course in the final cache.
We recommend you go on foot or ride a bicycle to search for cache, if you go by bike or car, please leave them in a suitable place, because the cache is located in the dune area and Bernati Nature Park.
Among other things, be wise, in the summer season in Bernati are a lot of people.
Take your GPS and maybe something aginst mosquitos.
