Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of THE BLUES BROTHERS Movie!
The third in my series of
THE BLUES BROTHERS
movie location caches.
The cache is located near the Music Court bridge in Jackson Park.
In The Blues Brothers movie, the bridge played host to a Nazi rally
orchestrated by the Head Nazi (Henry Gibson) and Gruppenfeuhrer
(Eugene J. Anthony). While waiting to drive across in their
Bluesmobile, Jake and Elwood Blues (John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd)
ask a passing Chicago police officer about the delay and learn of
the rally. Jake exclaims the famous line and an angry Elwood steps
on the gas, maneuvering around the other cars, and drives up and
over the bridge — which unceremoniously forces the buffoonish
Nazis to leap off into the lagoon below — much to the delight
of the angry crowd and the audience.
If you're inclined, please take a photo of yourself on the bridge
(please don't jump into the lagoon) and post it here.
And while you're there, don't forget to check out some of the other
nearby caches:
