Cruise (Waterways to Oslo no 3) - eo#21 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

cervisvenator: Hi

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Thanks for your understanding,
Cervis Venator

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Small L’n’L container covered with black duct tape.
Space for small trade items and TBs/GCs. Should be an easy find.

• Vise fram havneområdene i Oslo.

Verdens største cruiseskip – Independence of the Seas – var her i 2008.

ENG: The cache is the third in a series of caches with two main objectives:
• To ensure everyone coming to Oslo by boat may start geocaching immediately! Geocaching is, as we all know, an excellent way to learn to know new places
• To show geocachers the harbor areas of Oslo. While many of these may perhaps not be very esthetical by themselves, very much is happening along the seafront of Oslo right now. In addition, the seafront is a great place to have fantastic views of the Inner Oslo fiord.

Many cruise ships visit Oslo each year, and many of these anchor up here at “Akershuskaia”. Have a look at this page for an ”official” list. Some of the ships are really large and impressive. The worlds largest cruise ship – Independence of the seas – was here in 2008.
