PROJECTO VG - PARDO [Alfeizeirão] Traditional Geocache

ATENÇÃO: O DONO DA PROPRIEDADE TEM-SE SENTIDO UM BOCADO "MAL" DEVIDO À LOCALIZAÇÃO DA CACHE, PORTANTO TENTEM FAZER O MÍNIMO DE BARULHO POSSÍVEL. Assim que possa vou ao local mudar a sua localização, mas até lá não tentem fazer muito ruído ;)

Numa quinta e numa estrada que lhe fazem jus ao nome e com 4 metros de altura...

REDE GEODÉSICA

Uma rede geodésica é uma rede de triângulos que são medidos com exactidão a partir de técnicas de levantamento terrestres ou por geodesia espacial. Na "geodesia clássica" (até à década de 1960) esta é feita por triangulação, baseada na medição de ângulos e de algumas distâncias, sendo que a orientação precisa do Norte geográfico é efectuada por métodos de astronomia geodésica. Os instrumentos mais usados são os teodolítos e os tacómetros, que hoje em dia estão equipados por distanciómetros de infravermelhos para medição de distâncias, bases de dados, sistemas de comunicação e parcialmente por ligações satélite.

A Rede Geodésica Nacional (RGN) é a infra-estrutura básica onde se apoia toda a cartografia do País, e que serve todos aqueles (empresas, autarquias e outros organismos públicos e privados) que, por força das suas actividades, necessitam de referenciar geograficamente os seus projectos (os Planos Directores Municipais, por exemplo).

É composta por cerca de 9 000 vértices geodésicos (também conhecidos por “talefes”) no continente (cujo centro está em Vila de Rei, no Centro Geodésico de Portugal), 351 no Arquipélago dos Açores e 108 no Arquipélago da Madeira, agrupados em 3 ordens:

GEODETIC NETWORK

A geodetic network is a network of triangles which are measured exactly by techniques of terrestrial surveying or by satellite geodesy. In "classical geodesy" (up to the sixties) this is done by triangulation, based on measurements of angles and of some spare distances; the precise orientation to geographic North is done by methodes of geodetic astronomy. The mainly used instruments are theodolites and tacheometers, which nowadays are equipped by infrared distance measuring, data bases, communication systems and partly by satellite links.

The Portuguese National Geodetic Network is the basic infrastructure where all the country cartography stands and it serves everyone (companies, municipalities and other public and private institutions) that need geographic references for their projects.

It comprises around 9 000 triangulation stations (also known as “talefes” here in Portugal) in the mainland (where it’s center is located in Vila de Rei at the Portuguese Geodetic Center), 351 in the Azorean Archipelago and 108 in the Madeira Archipelago, divided in 3 categories:

• A rede de 1ª ordem tem 126 pilares com distâncias compreendidas entre 40 a 60 Km. Estes pilares foram construídos e observados pela 1ª vez no século XIX.

• A rede de 2ª ordem tem cerca de 900 pilares com distâncias compreendidas entre 20 e 40 Km.

• A rede de 3ª ordem contém os restantes pilares com distâncias compreendidas entre 5 e 10 Km (havendo em média um vértice por cada 10 km2).

• The first order network comprises 126 stations with distances between them ranging from 40 to 60 Km. these stations were built and used for the first time in the XIX century.

• The second order network comprises around 900 stations with distances between them ranging from 20 to 40 Km.

• The third order network comprises the remaining stations with distances between them ranging from 5 to 10 Km (1 station for each 10 square meters average).

O VÉRTICE “PARDO”

Este vértice é de 3ª ordem do tipo bolembreano e foi recuperado, tendo sido alvo do projecto de recuperação mas não foi alvo da nova campanha de observação, não possuindo coordenadas nos novos sistema.

Para chegar à cache basta seguir os seguintes passos:

• Na nacional nº8 virar para a estrada do talefe [Waypoint ACESSO_ET]

Ou

• Virar para a Rua Manuel da Silva Carolino [Waypoint ACESSO_RMSC]

• E virar para a Rua José Couto Nazário [Waypoint ACESSO_RJCN]

Ao chegarem ao carreiro de acesso ao vértice [Waypoint ACESSO_VG] virem-se para noroeste e andem colados às grades. Pro favor não pisem a fazenda.

To get to the cache:

• At the nacional nº8 turn to estrada do talefe [Waypoint ACESSO_ET]

Or

• Turn to Rua Manuel da Silva Carolino [Waypoint ACESSO_RMSC]

• And turn to Rua José Couto Nazário [Waypoint ACESSO_RJCN]

When you reach the access path to the station [Waypoint ACESSO_VG] turn to northwest and follow the fence.

Depois de o conseguir súbir, consegue ter uma grande vista sobre o litoral, tanto de dia como de noite.

From the station you get a good view of the coast…so go there, during the day and during the night.
