Geocache Description:

Geocaching in Scouting is becoming more popular recently, so much so that compassing is starting to take a back seat. So to celebrate the 1st Australian Jamboree in Frankston (Only one to be attended by Founder Lord Baden Powell) I have placed a series of caches around the jamboree site. You don’t have to do these in any order. BYO Pen

Official Programme of Jamboree

Don't go to above co-ordinates they are bogus.
But along a street that is well known to the title of this series

You are looking for eight caches with information to find a final ninth cache, they are hidden around lots of houses, so stealth is a must and privacy must be respected.
The 1st Panpacific Jamboree was the first of Australia's and the only Australian Jamboree attended by the founder of scouting Lord Baden Powell, activities included hikes, trips to the beach, and many more

This cache is located in a park that is generally the last landmark left standing from the jamboree (after the burning down of the Grandstand). This area was used for the main campfire hollow.

In this cache you will find some goodies to swap.
On the back of the logbook you will find taped to it a card that has an additional waypoint (you can go there if you wish or not) leading you to a plaque commemorating this jamboree (Gives it away if I post on page), and a website where I got my information from.
Once you have all first eight caches you can find The Final cache at – S 38° HA.(D+C)GG – E 145° HE.HGA

I hope you find this interesting as much as I enjoyed placing them. Being part of 1st Mornington Scout Group. (They were there)
