Cars and other vehicles are passing by on the road 140 from Helsinki to Lahti. From that road extends a small pathway to a parking place, which you can safely use for your geovehicles. This is a place, where there has previously been a bridge over muddy water (sic). This bridge has been demolished years ago, so there are not very good possibilities to cross the river. The slopes of the river are slippery and muddy, which increases the difficulty and terrain rating.
To reach this cache, you might need some helping items with you, have a guess! This cache is rather small, and should not be very difficult to spot. Just have a look around on the riverbank... Contains a logbook, sharpener and a pen.
And then, some thoughts about logging this cache:
Tervajörkki does not really like to see on his own caches any log entries which represent lazyness or other kind of behaviour which can be seen as just some characters like KK TFTC or similar or just smileys.
Imagine, that creating a geocache and keeping it searchable takes more time than it took from you to write a log - wouldn't it be just equal, that you share your experiences with the other cache hunters, by creating a high quality log?
Some logs posted on Geocaching.com offer only a snapshot into the geocaching adventure, but great logs produce a panoramic view of the geocaching quest. Great logs inform other geocachers of what they might expect on their caching adventure. They also reward cache owners, who enjoy reading about the experiences of those seeking their caches. Share your experience beyond a TFTC (Thanks for the Cache) or TNLN (Took Nothing Left Nothing) log by following these 5 tips:
1) See it and Say it - Describe what you saw and experienced on your way to the cache. Did you see a rare bird, a hidden waterfall, or George Clooney? Tell folks about it.
2) Be a Superhero - If there are new conditions in the area, like a fallen tree, warn other cachers.
3) Talk about Trades - Tell people what is in the cache container along with what you took and what you left.
4) Shout Out for the Cache Owner - Thank the cache owner for placing the cache.
5) Learn from Others - Geocaching.com site has "Lost and Found Promotion" possibility to niminate great geocaching logs.
Ja lopuksi joitakin ajatuksia tämän kätkön loggaamisesta:
Tervajörkki ei oikeastaan halua nähdä omilla kätköillään käyneiden logeja jotka edustavat laiskuutta tai muuta sellaista käytöstä jonka havaitsee esimerkiksi siitä että käytetään vain pari kirjainta kuten KK tai TFTC tai vastaavaa, tai pelkkiä hymiöitä.
Kuvittele mielessäsi, että kätkön tekeminen ja ylläpitäminen vie paljon enemmän aikaa kuin sinä käytät loggaamiseen - eikö mielestäsi ole tasapuolista, että jaat muille kävijöille kokemuksiasi muutenkin kuin lyhenteillä?
Jotkut loggaukset Geocaching.com sivuilla antavat vain hyvin lyhyen kuvauksen geokätköilyseikkailusta. Tästä poiketen erinomaiset loggaukset tarjoavat panoraamaisen näkemyksen kätköilijän matkasta.
Hienot loggaukset informoivat muita kätköilijöitä seikoista joita kannattaa ottaa huomioon kätköä etsittäessä. Ne toimivat myös mielenkiintoisena luettavana kätkön tekijälle ja omistajalle, joka usein nauttii kätköä etsineiden kokemuksista.
Jakakaa siis kokemuksianne logeissa, käyttäen enemmän kirjaimia kuin TFTC (Tattis tästä purkista) tai TNLN (En ottanut mitään enkä laittanut mitään) seuraten seuraavia viittä pikku neuvoa:
(1) Näit sen ja voit myös sanoa sen - Kuvaile mitä näit ja koit matkalla kätkölle. Näitkö harvinaisen linnun, piilossa olevan vesiputouksen tai jonkun julkimon? Kerro muillekin siitä!
(2) Ole Supersankari - Jos kätköllä on uusia löytämiseen vaikuttavia seikoja, kuten esim. kaatuneita puita, kerro muillekin asiasta.
(3) Kerro purkissa olevista esineistä, matkalaisista, geokolikoista, mainiten mitä laitoit tai otit mukaasi.
(4) Laita viestiä kätkön omistajalle - kiitä siitä että sait tämän kokemuksen.
(5) Opi muilta kätköilijöiltä - Geocaching.com sivuilla on mm. hyvien loggausten promotioneja.
