CS - Keen Kingfisher
Creature
Kingfishers are a group of small to medium sized brightly
coloured birds in the order Coraciiformes. They have a cosmopolitan
distribution, with most species being found in the Old World and
Australia.
Location
The cache is located near an intersection on the Ystwyth Cycle
Path approaching Crosswood, there are some gravestones set into the
nearby bank. The cache is accessible from the cycle path and you do
NOT need to climb over the fence to access it, leave the
graves alone.
You could park in the open area by the intersection however
instead I would advise cycling from either Aberystwyth or Llanilar
(from Llanilar its flat all the way).
I have given this cache a terrain value of one, due to the fact
it is located on a flat portion of the cyclepath, wheelchair users
may have to stretch low to access the cache, but it should be
possible. I have also seen people with pushchairs on the cyclepath
so it is child friendly :)
Cache
The cache is a small micro tube style cache, decorated with camo
tape, and a Keen Kingfisher label. The is no pen so please bring
your own and the log can sometimes be hard to retrieve, use your
pen to gain leverage on the log book against the inner wall of the
cache :) (or tweezers!)
